The Jharkhand CID has expanded its investigation into alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level examination by arresting four successful candidates.
The four were taken into custody on Friday as part of a probe into alleged wrongdoing surrounding the JSSC-CGL-2023 examination, which was conducted in September 2024.
According to the CID, the arrested candidates are Deepak Kumar and Vijay Kumar Tiwari, both residents of Dhanbad district, along with Anand Kumar Singh and Umesh Kumar Rai, who is currently residing in Bokaro.
The agency said all four had successfully cleared the examination and were arrested in connection with the alleged irregularities being investigated by a Special Investigation Team.
The latest arrests indicate that investigators are examining not only individuals suspected of facilitating or organising alleged irregularities but also candidates who benefited from the examination results.
The CID has been conducting the investigation into allegations surrounding the recruitment examination for several months.
